Celebrate Independence Day on Savannah’s Waterfront
Join us for an unforgettable evening as Savannah commemorates the 250th anniversary of America’s independence on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Festivities begin at 6:00 PM along the waterfront, featuring live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a community-wide celebration of our nation’s history.
Rousakis Riverfront Plaza will serve as one of the evening’s main gathering spots, with performances by the 3rd Infantry Division Band from Fort Stewart and a fun competition to crown Savannah’s most patriotic attendee.
The celebration extends throughout the waterfront district. Visitors can enjoy live music and special events at Plant Riverside District, Eastern Wharf, and the Savannah Convention Center, which will host its own Fourth of July riverfront festivities. Waterfront restaurants, bars, and shops will also be offering special promotions and holiday-themed experiences throughout the day.
The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9:30 PM. Launched from a barge on the Savannah River, the approximately 20-minute show will be synchronized to patriotic music and visible from multiple waterfront locations, including Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, Plant Riverside District, Eastern Wharf, and the Savannah Convention Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
